If you know me, you know that I am a total clean freak (yes, I deep clean my house every day)! I tried Home Depot’s new Hoover Smartwash Advanced Pet Automatic Carpet Cleaner and was excited to see how it transformed my carpet. I have two other carpet cleaners and the Hoover Smartwash Advanced Pet Automatic Carpet Cleaner completely exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to use and removed dirt on the first cleaning. mad! Since I clean my living room carpet so often, I was shocked to see the dirt come off!

I vacuumed the living room carpet thoroughly before using the Hoover cleaner. Do not use the carpet cleaner like a traditional vacuum cleaner. That’s not what’s happening. Once you’ve vacuumed the area you want to vacuum, there are two easy steps.
First, fill the clean water reservoir on the vacuum cleaner with warm water. Second, fill the solution tank (located under the water tank) with 3-in-1 Deep Clean Pet Max carpet solution. I bought this separately from Home Depot. I had a small stain on my carpet, so I pre-treated the stain with Hoover Stain Treatment before cleaning. And imagine what happened!? The stain is completely gone! I was shocked that I couldn’t remove this with other cleansers I have. This solution helps loosen and remove even the toughest stains!
One of my favorite features of the cleaner is that it tells you when to clean and dry your carpet. When you finish cleaning the carpet and want to shorten the drying time, press the “Drying Only” button. Dry only mode extracts any remaining water from the carpet. Do this until some water flows clearly from the nozzle at the front.
Overall, I liked how easy it was to use and how good the Hoover Smartwash Advanced Pet Automatic Carpet Cleaner was. This cleaner makes cleaning carpets at home easier. Not having to hire professionals to clean your carpets regularly is a win in my book!
